Dr. West is on a roll. Yes, you read that right, Kanye West was recently awarded with an honorary doctorate degree from the Art Institute of Chicago on Monday, one day after his surprise NBA playoffs performance on Sunday.
Not that he needs help keeping his name in the Hollywood spotlight, but he just landed the gig to perform at the Billboard Awards for the first time this Sunday, May 17.
West will be in good company at the Billboard Awards with acts like Mariah Carey, Sam Smith, and Ed Sheeran. Although he has yet to announce what he will be performing, it’s safe to assume that he will perform something from his upcoming, newly renamed album, SWISH.
SWISH, Kanye’s seventh solo album, boasts single titles like “Wolves” and “All Day.”
His fans will definitely be excited to see what Kanye has up his sleeves performance wise.
